William Shakespeare was born to parents
John and Mary Shakespeare
on the 23rd of April 1564. He
lived and grew up in the charming village of Stratford-on-Avon in England. His father was a wealthy alderman* in the village. His father was so wealthy
and prosperous he was granted a coat of arms (that was prestigious.) Shakespeare went to the Stratford grammar school where they hammered some knowledge into him. Unfortunately he wasn’t
clever enough to proceed to oxford or Cambridge (just wait)
although he was quite a weak speller. Several years later he married a local lady called Anne Hathaway (1582.) A year later
she gave birth to a girl who they called Susan then two years later a pair of twins called Judith and Hamnet. He later left
to london and wrote lots of plays and poems. The people of britain loved his plays because they were bloody and rude.
